Our beeswax lip balms are fully compostable. When yours is finished, simply toss it in your compost, and the cardboard push tube will biodegrade.

They’re formulated to protect, nourish, and moisturize your lips. The beeswax protects your lips from dry or cold air while letting your skin breathe, and non-GMO coconut, apricot kernel, and avocado oils, which are rich in vitamins and fatty acids, nourish and moisturize.

For flavoring, we only use pure essential oils, so from start to finish, each balm is 100% natural.

FAQ

What do I do with it when it's done?

Our lip balm tubes are 100% compostable. Toss them in your compost pile or fireplace and enjoy taking care of the planet :-)

Will it melt?

We use more beeswax in our lip balms than other natural lip balms, which raises the melting point. You won't have anything to worry about under most circumstances, but you could experience minimal melting if it was left in direct sunlight on a summer day over 95 degrees or in a car with the windows shut in the sun. Customers have left it in their car for the summer without issues.

Is the vitamin E natural?

Yes, we use a natural vitamin E.

What is the shelf life?

At a minimum, you can expect it to last over a year.

Lip Balm Story

Years ago, we posted a picture of our peppermint lip balm in its plastic tube on Instagram. One of our customers from our local farmers market commented that she loved the formula, but wished it came in a cardboard tube. We source ALL of our product development ideas from our customers, so we decided to give it a try! A few months later, our first trial batch of cardboard lip balms were ready. They outsold the remaining plastic lip balms we had 5 to 1 and became our signature, 100% natural, compostable lip balms. We hope you love them as much as we do!
