A few days after I messaged my friend, Yura, to let him know we were sending money for him and his family, he sent me these pictures. He’d gone to a grocery store, loaded up a cart with food, and was dropping it off to a bunch of neighbors in Kyiv.
At the end of our Joy Lane Farm emails, we often have a quote from Tolkien about how it’s little acts of kindness that keep the darkness at bay. Acts like this: Generosity in the face of aggression, kindness in the face of loss.
