1. The ingredients. We use natural ingredients full of nutrients, like goat milk and shea butter, that are wonderful for your body. Just as important, there's a list of over 200 ingredients that we don't use, things like parabens and sodium laureth sulfate that you'll find in mainstream products. We also don't use fillers. Goat milk and olive oil are the top two ingredients in our goat milk soaps.
2. The packaging. We meticulously go over every detail of how our products are packaged, from the type of cardboard that's used, to the finish on our labels, to the wildflower seed paper that covers our ceramic candles. As just one example, our goat milk soaps each have a different sketch on the back from our country town of Rollinsford, and a little story relating to the scent from our family. The cardboard is soft to the touch, and thick enough to hold up over time, protecting the soaps from handling or collecting dust, but with a small window to sniff the scent and see what they look like.
3. The scent. Our scents are one of our biggest differentiators. We use country scents that are true to life, infused with natural essential oils. They're pleasantly strong, but not overpowering and not perfumy. If there's one thing we've heard over and over in 10 years of soapmaking, it's, "Wow, that smells just like real lilacs! How did you do that?"
4. Originality. We do all of our own formulations with a combined 20 years of product formulation experience on our team, so that our products are original and unique and can't be found anywhere else. We also do all of our own manufacturing and shipping, so that we control every step of the process from when our products are made to when they leave for your shop. No premade bases, no sitting in warehouses.
5. Our story. We're a husband-and-wife team with four little girls who are passionate about two things: Making the very best body care products and making a positive difference in our community and world. Our mantra is to live joyfully, do great things, and celebrate family.
