    Sulfates are harsh cleansers common in shampoos that strip your hair. Instead, we use Sodium Cocoyl Isethonate often called "baby foam," which is much milder and leaves your hair feeling soft and clean. Our bars are also free of parabens, artificial colors, and artificial fragrances.

  • The Best Shampoo I’ve Tried, Bar or Bottle

    I’m so grateful for this shampoo. It lathers easily, cleans well, and has great ingredients—and it’s environmentally friendly and made locally. I have fine, curly, aging hair and have had trouble over the years with shampoos and conditioners that weigh it down. Not so with these bars. I highly recommend them.

FAQs

How long will they last?

A long time! We formulate our bars to last as long as 2-3 bottles of shampoo. Because they're a high quality shampoo just without the water, they're concentrated, and a little goes a long way! Set them aside on a drying tray when not in use to extend their life.

How do you use them?

Shampoo Bar Directions

1) Wet your hair

2) Run shampoo bar from root to tip 3-4x

3) Set aside, lather normally, and rinse

Conditioner Bar Directions

1) Wet the conditioner bar and your hair

2) Massage hair against conditioner bar

3) Set aside and rinse

Will they leave a residue on my hair?

Nope! That can happen with other shampoo bars because a lot of shampoo bars on the market are cold process soaps that are marketed for hair, but should really only be used on skin. Ours are called "syndet" bars, which means they have all the ingredients of a high quality shampoo, but instead of dissolving those ingredients in water and bottling the liquid, we compress them with an air compressor into a bar.

Do they lather?

Yes! They produce fantastic foam, just like a bottled shampoo.
