We make our lotion with vitamin rich shea butter, apricot kernel oil, and avocado oil to moisturize and nourish your skin. A little bit goes a long way! Happily, the botanical oils are non-GMO, and its paraben free.

Shea Butter

Shea Butter is the star of our lotion! It’s a natural emollient that’s hydrating and softening for your skin. Plus, it contains several fatty acids (lineolieic, oleic, palmitic, and stearic!), improving your skins natural barrier.

Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is full of antioxidants like vitamins A and E and helps heal skin damaged by sunlight.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Light and quickly absorbed into the skin, apricot kernel oil is rich in omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, which make it an excellent moisturizer.

Shea Butter Lotion Story

The last lotion we used before formulating our own was from a generic gift basket. It was greasy, didn’t absorb very well, was preserved using parabens, and had a heavy, artificially sweet fragrance. Over a decade later, I can still remember it! So, when we donned our lab coats and began our own series of experiments, our goal was to formulate a lotion that was just the opposite: thick and moisturizing, yet airy and easily absorbed with a light, true scent that was paraben-free. Our shea butter lotion is the product of two scientists who are very OCD about what they put on their skin. We hope you love it as much as we do!

FAQs

Is it a hand, body, or facial lotion?

Our lotion is thick and super moisturizing, recommended as both a hand and body lotion. We don't recommend it for facial use, since the skin on your face is typically oily, not dry.

Does it come in a travel size?

Not yet! The equipment to do three oz. tubes is pretty pricey, but we have it on our list for as soon as we can!
