I was craving the scent of lilac. This lotion provides a beautiful, full aroma….but so much more. The thick, rich lotion hydrates with shea butter. It has a pump dispenser that works perfectly.

Why is goat milk soap good for your skin?
-
Vitamin A
The vitamin A in goat milk increases your skin cell turnover rate, reducing lines and wrinkles. It's one of many nutrients in goat milk!
-
Lactic Acid
Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid occuring naturally in goat milk that exfoliates your skin cells without drying them out.
-
Moisture Boosting Fat Molecules
In addition to all the fats from the plant oils, goat milk adds extra moisturizing fats to the formula to make superfatted bars of soap.

I gave it a try
My skin can be very sensitive to chemicals and perfume. I've been searching for a long time for something that smells good, feels good, as well as works. I found this at a local shop and the smell was pleasant, not overwhelming. I decided to give it a try. It works wonderfully! I feel lovely, hydrated and clean. Plus made local! I'm almost threw my first bar and my second just arrived. Plus I'm trying the cranberry one shortly. Thank you thank you for making these!

Honestly, just like Abe!
I have used a well known brand name soap (from Texas) for my face for 30years! Last year my boss gave me Joy Lane as a gift. I have used it ever since, sometimes washing my face three times a day. It’s wonderful, I would put it up against any brand!
This is a very good product at a very reasonable price. I am shooting for 30years + with Joy Lane Farm!-Susan H

Goat Milk Soap Story
My Mom: JOEL! There's soap in the oven!!
Me: WHY is there soap in the oven?!
A nasty, burning smell came from the oven when I opened it where a tray of 24 soaps had been drying before I turned on the oven to preheat it. It was one of the first batches of Joy Lane Farm soap!
Our family got goats when I was a boy in 4-H. We learned to milk them, and my mom used the nutrient rich milk to make cheese and goat milk soap. Soon we had more soap than we could use, so my mom started giving it away to friends and family who raved about it. She began selling it at our local natural foods store (where it's still sold!) and was one of eight soapmakers who submitted their soaps for consideration to The Common Man Inn who was looking for a local soapmaker to make their room bars. We were thrilled when they chose Joy Lane Farm!
FAQs
Why is goat milk soap good for your skin?
For so many reasons! Three of the big ones are vitamin A, lactic acid, and moisture boosting fat molecules! Here's a video we did on why goat milk is exceptional skincare!
Will it melt?
Nope! Our bars are cold process soaps, which are made by adding lye to goat milk and botanical oils. You'd have melting issues with melt-and-pour soaps, but don't need to worry about it with cold process soaps.
How much goat milk is in your soaps?
A lot! We pride ourselves that goat milk is our second biggest ingredient! Our first ingredient is olive oil, which is costly, but SO good for your skin.
What is the shelf life?
You can expect the scent in our goat milk soaps to last for at least a year, even much longer. If you're planning on storing them for a while (they make wonderful sachets in drawers!), we suggest somewhere away from sunlight as direct sunlight can reduce the scent over a long period of time.
How long do your goat milk soaps last?
A long time! We age them extra long to make them last longer. At a minimum, cold process soaps need to be aged 4 weeks. Often, ours are aged as long as 8 weeks. This lets extra water weight evaporate off, making them harder, denser, and long-lasting. Exactly how long is difficult to answer, because it varies so much based on if you're showering with them or just using them as a facial or hand soap. To extend the life of your goat milk soap, be sure to keep it on a drying tray when not in use.
